Project Manhattan, the first movie produced in Luxe, is a success

LUXE, 31 MAY 2025: "Project Manhattan" – A Cultural Milestone for Luxe

The Republic of Luxe marked a new chapter in its cultural and educational engagement with the premiere of the short film Projetto Mnahattan, a student-led initiative produced by Luca Mirante and officially endorsed by the Ministry of Culture. What began as a simple school assignment for a physics class rapidly evolved into a collaborative artistic project embraced by the broader Luxe community.

The film was first announced by Minister of Culture Luca Pezzi, who shared the official poster and release date on the Ministry’s bulletin, sparking anticipation and pride among students, educators, and citizens alike. The project tells the story of the Manhattan Project through a compelling dramatization that blends historical accuracy with deep ethical reflection.

The official presentation took place at the Antonio Rosmini Institute in Trento, where the short film was met with enthusiasm. The screening concluded with three rounds of applause from the audience, a rare and heartfelt recognition of the project's emotional depth and educational value.

The premiere was attended by prominent figures, including President of the Republic Luca Mirante, Minister of Culture Luca Pezzi, and Minister of Free Time Matteo Lago. In his remarks following the screening, President Mirante praised the initiative as “an important step forward in the diversification of Luxe’s activities, particularly in the fields of youth expression, audiovisual creativity, and historical reflection.”

The Ministry has approved the film for publication on the school’s official website, and it is set to be presented to the principal of the institute as a model of interdisciplinary excellence. Furthermore, the project will be entered into a national university competition, where it is expected to represent Luxe with distinction.

Minister Pezzi emphasized that Projetto Mnahattan "demonstrates how education and culture can converge in meaningful ways when young minds are given the space and support to explore their creativity." He also hinted at future collaborations between schools and cultural institutions to foster similar projects across Luxe.

With its strong narrative, historical relevance, and passionate execution, Projetto Mnahattan has not only enriched Luxe’s cultural portfolio but also reaffirmed the role of student initiatives in shaping the republic’s identity and values. As the film gains wider recognition, it stands as a testament to what can be achieved when education, innovation, and civic spirit come together.
